Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Enterx (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the X Cleanup iOS application (bundle ID com.enterx.XCleanup) and this website (https://xcleanup.enterx.so).
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at xcleanup-support@enterx.so.
1. Who we are and what the app does
X Cleanup is a storage cleaner for iPhone that helps you review and remove selected media and related personal data you grant permission for. Core cleanup runs through Apple PhotoKit and related on-device frameworks. X Cleanup is not a system-wide “junk,” cache, or other-apps cleaner. Third-party apps on iOS cannot freely delete arbitrary system or app data.
2. Summary for App Store privacy labels
The following summarizes practices relevant to Apple’s App Privacy details. Exact labels in App Store Connect should match this policy.
Data that may be collected (not used for tracking ads)
- Product Interaction — app events via Firebase Analytics (for example scan started/completed, cleanup confirmed, paywall viewed). We do not send your photo, contact, calendar, or email message contents to analytics.
- Purchases — subscription and entitlement status via Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat (product identifiers, period, restore). Apple processes payment; we do not receive your full payment card details.
- Identifiers — identifiers used by Apple, RevenueCat, and Firebase for app functionality, analytics, and subscription management (such as device/app instance or anonymous analytics IDs as configured by those SDKs). We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) for advertising.
Processed on device and not uploaded for scanning
- Photos, videos, screenshots, and related library metadata used for duplicate/similar/blur detection, size estimates, Video Compress, and Live Photo to still conversion.
- Contacts used for duplicate, incomplete, and list cleanup tools.
- Calendar events used for past-events cleanup.
- Private Space vault contents stored locally with file protection.
Optional online product feature
- Gmail cleaner — after you sign in with Google, the app may access Gmail data you choose to manage (for example to trash or unsubscribe from selected messages) using Google’s APIs.
We do not sell your photo library or other personal content. We do not show third-party ads in the app.
3. Information we process
3.1 Photos and videos (PhotoKit)
With your Photos permission, X Cleanup can list and analyze media on your device to find duplicates, similar items, blurry photos, screenshots, large or short videos, screen recordings, and related categories. Analysis for cleanup scanning is performed on-device. Media is not uploaded to Enterx servers for scanning.
For scan, thumbnails, Video Compress, and Live to Still flows, PhotoKit network access is disabled so the app does not download iCloud Photos originals for those operations. X Cleanup does not access iCloud Drive as a product feature.
Deletion of photos or videos happens only after you select items and confirm. Deletions use Apple’s PhotoKit APIs and follow your Photos library permissions (including Limited Library, which may result in an incomplete scan).
3.2 Contacts
If you use Contacts features, the app may read contacts on your device to find duplicates, incomplete entries, or to show an all-contacts list. Deletes occur only after your confirmation. You may optionally export contacts as a vCard (`.vcf`) that you choose to share via the system share sheet.
3.3 Calendar
If you use Events cleanup, the app may access calendar data via EventKit to list past events (approximately the last four years) and delete events you select and confirm.
3.4 Private Space
Private Space is a local vault for media you import. Access is protected with Face ID or device passcode. Files use complete file protection and are excluded from device backup. Vault contents remain on your device unless you export them. We do not upload Private Space contents to Enterx.
3.5 Gmail (optional)
If you enable the Email cleaner, you sign in with Google using a secure browser-based OAuth flow (PKCE via ASWebAuthenticationSession). With your consent (including scopes such as Gmail modify as required by the feature), the app can help you trash or unsubscribe from messages you select. Tokens and Gmail access are used only for this feature. You can revoke access by disconnecting in the app (where available) and/or in your Google Account security settings.
3.6 Notifications
With notification permission, X Cleanup may schedule a local daily reminder (for example at 10:00 AM local time) to encourage cleanup. We do not send remote push notifications and do not upload your photo library to power reminders. You can disable notifications in iOS Settings.
3.7 Purchases and subscriptions
Premium features are unlocked through Apple In-App Purchase via RevenueCat (entitlement XCleanup Pro). Apple processes payment. RevenueCat helps verify entitlements and subscription status. Free users may delete a limited number of items per day (currently 20 deletions per calendar day, counted on-device unless you have Premium).
3.8 Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand product usage and improve the app. Events may include funnel metrics such as app opened, photos permission granted, scan started/completed, category views, cleanup confirmed, storage freed (aggregate size), paywall viewed, subscription started, reminder permission outcomes, and similar product events. Parameters are limited to operational metrics (counts, timings, product IDs, periods)—not the contents of your photos, emails, or contacts.
3.9 Website
This marketing/legal website may be hosted by providers such as Vercel and may receive standard server logs (for example IP address, user agent, and request metadata) needed to operate the site and security.
4. Permissions we may request
- Photos — scan, review, optimize, and delete user-selected media.
- Contacts — duplicate/incomplete cleanup, list, and optional backup export.
- Calendars — past events cleanup.
- Notifications — optional local cleanup reminders.
- Face ID / Local Authentication — unlock Private Space.
- Network — Gmail (after sign-in), subscription validation (RevenueCat / Apple), and analytics (Firebase). Cleanup scanning of your photo library does not require uploading media.
5. How we use information
- Provide and improve X Cleanup features you choose to use.
- Process and restore purchases and enforce free-tier limits.
- Measure product performance and reliability.
- Respond to support and privacy requests.
- Comply with law and protect against abuse or fraud.
6. Sharing and third parties
We share information only as needed to operate the app:
- Apple — App Store, In-App Purchase, PhotoKit, and other system frameworks.
- RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management.
- Google / Firebase — Analytics; Gmail API when you connect Gmail.
- Hosting providers — for this website (for example Vercel).
- Legal / safety — if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Third parties process data under their own policies. Review Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and Firebase privacy documentation for details.
7. Retention and deletion
- On-device deletions you confirm in Photos, Contacts, or Calendar are permanent subject to Apple’s system behavior (for example Recently Deleted albums where applicable).
- Private Space data remains until you remove it or uninstall the app (subject to iOS storage behavior).
- Analytics and subscription records are retained according to Apple, RevenueCat, and Google/Firebase practices and our operational needs.
- To request help with privacy matters, email xcleanup-support@enterx.so. Some data is controlled only on your device or by Apple/Google; we may not be able to reverse deletions you performed locally.
8. Security
We use platform security features where applicable (for example HTTPS for network features, OAuth for Gmail, and file protection / biometric unlock for Private Space). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Children’s privacy
X Cleanup is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
10. International users
If you use the app or site from outside the country where our service providers process data, your information may be processed in other regions subject to applicable safeguards and provider terms.
